Celebrities Open Up About Their Struggles and Experiences

Many celebrities have bravely opened up about their battle with infertility and how they got to their ultimate goal of having children. Infertility affects 7 million women in the United States and famous mamas are among that group. Any "Friends" fans is familiar with Monica and Chandler's infertility struggles that broke the hearts of every fan watching this real-life situation unfold before their very eyes. 

In fact, Courtney Cox's actual struggle became the inspiration behind this story line. After several miscarriages, Cox finally became successful with IVF and was able to give birth to her daughter Coco in 2004. She's not alone! Celine Dion battled infertility for 6 years before turning to IVF to finally give birth to twin boys Eddy and Nelson in 2010 at the age of 42. It wasn't smooth sailing for her and her husband though because he fought low sperm count and Dion went through 6 rounds of IVF and one miscarriage before giving birth. The View co-host, Sherri Shepherd, experienced a similar situation and experienced success with IVF at the age of 38 when she gave birth to twins, too! 

Though their lives may seem glamorous, many celebrities are just like ordinary people when it comes to facing these trying situations of bearing children.
