Anna Victoria, Fitness Guru and CEO of Fit Body

Anna Victoria is a fitness influencer that started her own app, called Body Fit, to help other women feel good about themselves along with providing three different workouts to help women achieve their fitness goals. Victoria, before creating the app, began experiencing health problems that forced her to change her habits, and as a result of this, she found a passion for working out and staying physically, emotionally, and mentally healthy.

Victoria believes that all women should learn to love their bodies. She goes on to say that because her road to fitness didn’t happen because she was unhappy with herself and her body, that other women shouldn’t exercise and eat healthy just because they hate theirs. Victoria has made it her mission through her Fit Body app that she wants all women to learn how to love themselves and believes that being healthy not only helps your physical well-being, but also your mental and emotional well-being.

Anna Victoria’s Fertility Journey

Anna Victoria has struggled with her fertility and trying to conceive for the past two years. She has tried multiple different methods to increase her odds of becoming pregnant, such as switching up her diet and workout routine, and trying intrauterine insemination (IUI), which is a fertility treatment where sperm is placed into the woman’s uterus to start the fertilization process. She also explained how her anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) levels were half of what they should’ve been, with hers being at 0.7 where they should be at 1.4. AMH levels help to show the number of eggs that are in a woman’s body, and if the number is low, it could show signs of infertility.

Following her pregnancy struggles, she decided to undergo in vitro fertilization, or IVF. IVF is a popular fertility treatment that involves taking a woman’s eggs, injecting them with the male’s sperm in a lab, and then putting the eggs back into the woman’s uterus. She updated her followers on Instagram to the many changes that the IVF procedure did to her body, the main one being bloating.

On her Instagram post, she stated, “I know it doesn't look that bad, but it felt a lot worse than it looked. I couldn’t sit or stand or even move for the first three days without wincing in pain or bracing myself. I’m used to having a really high pain tolerance and battling through, but this really knocked me on my booty.”

Following her IVF treatment, Victoria announced on January 28th that she was expecting her first child in an Instagram post with her husband and sonogram pictures. She also states that her doctor that she went to with the IVF procedure, knows the gender of the baby, but she wants it to be a surprise. Although she states, she has had a rough first trimester, with morning sickness and being on light bedrest, she is excited to continue her pregnancy journey.

Is IVF Right For You?

IVF, or in vitro fertilization is a process that can take an extended amount of time and doesn’t have a 100% rate that it’s going to work, but many women who have struggled with conceiving, or becoming pregnant result in trying IVF.

IVF is a difficult fertility treatment that can take a toll on a woman’s body and be a long procedure. Talk to your doctor today if IVF is right for you.

The process of IVF involves taking hormone shots for two weeks and medications to prevent premature ovulation. Once you are done taking the shots, that is when the procedure takes place and eggs are removed and then taken to a lab where the sperm will then be inserted, and then the eggs with be implanted inside the uterus.

Many women who have used multiple different methods to get pregnant, but were unsuccessful gravitate towards the IVF option. IVF is an expensive procedure, so many women use this as their last option if they are struggling to become pregnant. It can also take a toll on a woman’s body with the extra hormones that could make you moody, and how time consuming the process could be, meaning that it might take more than one try to become pregnant. If you are interested in IVF, talk to your OB/GYN about getting started and if it is right for you.
